Active users list

I need something like active user’s list.
I remember, it was long long time ago possible with Indy at least I believe.
Some of the frameworks (like one from TMS) have “offline” model – client get data and no connection anymore (may be pooling makes somethng differently, but between server and client such kind of communication).

My need here is to see what client do (as admin), even to close its connection, or one client can be able to write message to other.

Is it possible in theory? I meen somehow client have to inform server that work started (in onConnect method f.e.) and work ended when app closed.
