FromDataSet current record

Is there an easy way to just use the current record in the FromDataSet method?

If you are using the FromDataset method of the ORM, that returns an instance of an object with the data from the dataset, you can set the last property to false, then it will provide the current record rather than the first, which is the default.

function FromDataset(const ADataset:TDataset; const AUnmodified:boolean = false; const AFirst:boolean = true):T;
