      Hello Kim,

Well the support of kbmMW is really getting worser so you’ll leave us no choice but to leave the framework and look for alternative. It’s not accepatable to try to find you in order to solve the issues nor to pay xxx$ for contacting you.

I’ve seen users try to find help to fix bugs for kbmMW under 3rd party forums (facebook, delphipraxis). Another example:

      https://en.delphipraxis.net/topic/4416-shutting-down-tidtcpserver-kbmmwtcpipindyservertransportcausing-window-service-timeout/?tab=comments#comment-38539

If you can not support us for free within our subscription and in acceptable timeframe (not after 2 weeks) as other companies do in order to solve the bugs please let us know!

      Thank you

      Hi,

      I’m sorry about your decision.

kbmMW is being worked hard on every single day, both to root out bugs and to add and improve features.

Support has always been peer to peer support since 20 years ago, thus also in the good old newgroup days where providing support were so much easier than the “modern” forum way…. which I’m using not because I prefer it, but as a current last resort until something better can be found.

Being a small company, developing a better support method, also takes away time from kbmMW work.

      best regards

      Kim/C4D

        Dear Kim,

I can totally understand and accept since i’m a single developer too but i do not want to loose customers because i do not respond.

In my life i learnt with the soft and the hard way that “Support” is the 1st thing to make customers happy and keeping them. If they can’t reach me they look solutions and/or alternative elsewhere and they did. (I’m not the only guy developing or fixing computers in my town)

Do not get me wrong,  the product is awesome by itself but it had and has some critical bugs which it needed to be fixed in order a project to proceed. Speaking for my self i spend a lot of hours and sometime days for bug caused by kbmMW and not from my project (and you know how difficult is to trace a bug in a multi-threaded application) and on the other half i was waiting weeks for a response.

I do not compare you with DevExpress which they respond the same day but a lot of Open Source projects on Github respond way faster in their bugreports.

Since i have invested in kbmMW i do not want to leave and go into another framework because i know you a very awesome developer and supporter of Delphi ecosystem but please find a solution for quick support as other project have in here. (I understand e-mail is a priority but i do not have $156 since my project are for my own  use and not commercial so far)

I will renew my subscription in the coming couple months because i believe that you’ll find a solution to this!

        Thank you 🙂

          Hi,

I’m glad you like kbmMW and decides to stick with it.

The best way to help me help you to root out bugs in it is if you can provide small pieces of sample code clearly illustrating the bug, which do not require other 3rdparty products, and which I can compile.

This way it will always get a higher priority than general reports about something that exhibits an unexpected behaviour, simply because many (not all though) of those reports ends up being problems in user code, which I then spend, in some cases, lot of time on debugging before figuring out it was really not in kbmMW, but elsewhere.

I _always_ strive after getting kbmMW as bugfree as possible. Every bug fixed is one less headache for me in the end 🙂

          best regards

          Kim/C4D
