When you arrive at a customer’s PC, you need to understand the problem, find the evidence and get useful work done. The answers may be scattered across logs, configuration files, documents and databases—and every customer environment is different.
It starts with one file: MIMERCodex.exe.
MIMERCodex brings AI-assisted investigation, practical tools and reusable knowledge together in a portable support assistant designed especially for consultants and support professionals.
Copy the executable to the customer PC, select the working folder and describe what you need to accomplish.

MIMERCodex helps gather evidence, explain findings, propose changes and verify results. You follow the work in the conversation, inspect tool results and decide which actions to approve.
The executable includes the application, runtime resources and six knowledge packs. An optional encrypted vault sidecar lets you bring preconfigured external-model connections. Where the assignment requires it, customer-specific permissions can provide access to resources such as particular databases.
Put your knowledge to work
Good support depends on knowing the product as well as understanding the symptoms. MIMERCodex includes knowledge packs covering:
SQLite: investigate database files, records and query behaviour.
Office documents and PDF: read customer material and prepare reports.
MIMERCode: understand and work with programs and scripts.
Communication diagnostics: investigate serial-port and network connection problems.
Databases: work with approved connections and relevant queries.
Knowledge-pack authoring: turn your own documentation and proven procedures into reusable knowledge.
You can combine packs for an assignment—for example, database guidance for the investigation and Office guidance for the customer report.
You can also build your own packs directly in MIMERCodex. Give it product manuals, examples and verified support procedures, then review and test the resulting guidance. The knowledge gained on one assignment becomes something you can bring to the next.
Investigate, act and explain
MIMERCodex supports the work that surrounds a repair as well as the repair itself.
It can search logs, inspect files, read documents, retrieve records through approved database connections and run permitted diagnostic programs. When a change is needed, you can review the proposed edit and use supported backups and undo to restore earlier file contents.
Permission modes let you choose how the work proceeds. Start with Plan for a file-based investigation, then switch to Ask to review proposed changes and commands. The installation’s security policy controls which resources and programs are available.
When the job is complete, ask for a handover summary: what happened, what changed, what was checked and what remains to be done.
Choose the model for the assignment
Different customer environments call for different model setups. MIMERCodex supports hosted providers, local model services such as Ollama and LM Studio, and supported models loaded directly on the PC.
You can assign models to supporting tasks, image analysis or second opinions. For a difficult decision, ask several models to review the same evidence and compare their conclusions.
Pick up where you left off
Support cases often span several visits. Named workspaces keep sessions, working material and useful notes organised around the customer or assignment.
Resume an earlier conversation, reuse a saved procedure or review the record of changes. Each visit adds to a body of knowledge that helps make the next investigation more informed.
