Hello,
I recently came across TheMIMER project and found it to be a very unique and impressive product.
I would like to ask about its future direction. Do you plan for TheMIMER to remain a free product? Also, are there any plans to publish the source code or make it open source?
Thank you for your work, and I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
Hi,
theMIMER will continue to be a free executable.
The actual code behind it I have not made any decision about as of yet. There has been spent much time on it, and a new version will soon be released with loads more features. It takes time… and something will have to pay the bills here 😉

Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
That sounds very promising, especially the upcoming new version with many more features.
I understand your point regarding the source code and the effort invested in the project.
May I ask one more thing: do you expect the free executable to be usable in commercial solutions as well, for example as part of a platform or service integration, or do you foresee a separate commercial/OEM licensing model for that?
Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing the new release.
Kind regards
Yes.. you can use it for free for commercial projects as long as they do not violate the license agreement (ie… non compete clause).
